Water glass (Na₂SiO₃):- Water glass is formed when the sodium carbonate is heated with silica oxide.

Na₂Co₃ +  SiO₂ ---------->Na₂SiO₃ Co₂

Uses:- 
Silica gel (as moisture absorber)
As Glue 
Wall coating in concrete
In soap industries
